The Directorate of Technical Education Madhya Pradesh is the responsible authority for technical education in the state. The directorate works as buffer agency between Government, Industry and Institution. Implementing technical education policy of the government of state and center is the responsibility of the directorate. The directorate is also responsible to advice and assist the government in the all round development of technical education .

To maintain the quality of technical education in the state the directorate interacts with the agencies like All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), FICCI, R&D organizations and institutes of higher learning.  The Directorate of Technical Education has the mission to assist excellence in Technical Education, for the benefits of students, industry and society.
